Autumn is:
Red, yellow, orange, brown
Leaves changing colors, no longer green
Drifting from their branches
Little by little, they are stripped clean

Autumn is:
Summer flowers breathing their last
Spreading seed for the next year
But all is not lost, for as the summer flowers go
The flowers of autumn are finally here

Autumn is:
Goldenrod, turning meadows deep yellow
Other wildflowers, competing for space
to grow and bloom before wintertime
When with a blanket of snow, they will be erased

Autumn is:
Pumpkin, squash, orange, green, yellow
Jack-O'lanterns grinning
Children in costume, "Trick or Treat!"
Halloween's come, candy we're giving

Autumn is:
All of the above, and so much more
Summer is ending, winter is near
Everyone sees it through different eyes, but
Autumn is: here
