CEM says: Feste is-- well, how can I really describe Feste? He's one of those characters who shows up in your head apropos of nothing, what Murky once described as a 'self-manifesting thoughtgolem'. He's one of those 'pet' characters that people have, the kind that goes through a multitude of versions and reincarnations and follows you from theme to theme. He fits anywhere. Still does, in fact. He started out in Dungeons and Dragons, did a short turn in the Buffyverse, and then migrated to the happy land of Ani Greyclaws, where he became her uncle the bard and stayed there for a while. And then, one night around midnight, I wrote the shapeshifting thoughtgolem into a new form. I can't even remember what inspired it. And look what happens! Let that be a lesson to you, e-friends! You lose self-control for a moment, and you get FESTE. Friends don't let friends write Fools! Write responsibly! ...yes. Look at him now. What a mess. I'll have to use at least a bucket of OxyClean to get this off the floor. Jeez.

PS, his being bi was as much a surprise to me as it is to you. Really. I swear.
