Cold tire pressures
Front 125 kPa (1.25 kg/cm, 18 PSI)
Rear 175 kPa (1.75 kg/cm, 24 PSI)

Tire size
Front 2.50-10-2PR
Rear 2.50-10-2PR


Check for wear, damage or embedded objects.
Front wheel removal

Remove the set screw and disconnect the speedometer cable.
Remove the brake adjusting nut and disconnect the brake cable.
Remove the axle nut.
Pull out the axle and remove the cable stay and the front wheel.

Check the wheel bearings
Turn the inner race of each bearing with your finger.
The bearings should turn smoothy and quietly.
Remove and discard bearings if the races do nut turn smootly, quietly.

Check the brakes
Remove the brake panel from the front wheel.
Measure the brake drum I.D. Service Limit: 80.5mm (3.17 in)
Measure brake lining thickness. Service Limit: 2.0mm (0.08 in)
(WARNING: brake dust contains asbestos)
Assemble in reverse

Rear wheel removal

Remove both rear frame covers.
Remove the muffler.
Remove the axle nut and remove the rear wheel

Check the wheel bearings
Same as above.

Check the brakes
Same as above.
Service limit for rear brake lining is 1.5mm (0.06 in)
