Determining year

This is my own spree, I got her in July of 04 for next to nothing,
traded an old subwoofer for her.She was spraypainted and chipped before I got her. I plan to get krylon plastic paint so she wont be such an eye sore.

When I got her, she had been in an extremly bad crash (how you dump
these little buggers is beyond me) and left to rot on a busy city street
till I found her, and rescued her.
She had a huge tear down the seat, her front and back left blinkers were torn off, brakes were frozen from sitting outside for 8 months. My friends and I have: fabricated/welded a little screw on point for my rear turn signal, welded the front turn signal back on, replaced the brake cables, fixed the kickstart, cleaned fuel filter, carb (about a zillion times), intake manifold, air filter, replaced the belt, fixed the Speedo cable, cleaned the exhaust and exhaust port (to the best of my abilities), and fixed the rear brake. Besides looks, I've restored her back to full power, she hits 30 mph on flats. Slightly bogs on hills, as all Sprees do.
Hey look I finally got ears!...
I mean mirrors

Hopfully when I get the paint job done it will look more like this:
